About Andre
Andre brings over a decade of experience in fire protection and life safety engineering, with a focus on complex, high-hazard environments including aerospace, research laboratories, and mission-critical facilities. His expertise spans fire alarm and suppression systems, and hazardous materials analysis, with a strong emphasis on practical, code-compliant solutions.
Prior to joining Rigsbee Engineering, Andre held engineering roles at SpaceX, Stanford University, and Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. At SpaceX, he supported fire protection systems and program level risk mitigation for launch, processing, and manufacturing aerospace facilities. At Stanford, he worked within the Fire Marshal’s Office, leading code compliance reviews, negotiating Alternate Means & Methods Requests, and coordinating fire and life safety system specs, review, and installs across diverse projects, facilities, and stakeholders.
Andre earned both his Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Outside of his professional work, he is an active practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, where he brings the same discipline, strategy, and continuous improvement mindset that define his engineering approach.
