About Amir

Amir is a highly accomplished professional engineer and project manager with several years of international experience in the fields of Fire/Life Safety, Civil, and Structural Engineering. His expertise lies in code compliance and performance-based design, which he has developed through extensive post-graduate studies and practical experience.

Prior to joining Rigsbee Engineering, Amir held pivotal roles at Rimkus Consulting Group, AATECH Scientific Inc., JENSEN HUGHES, and LRI Engineering, providing him with a diverse skill set and in-depth industry knowledge.

With a robust foundation in fire protection engineering, Amir brings a wealth of expertise to the table. His technical proficiency spans across various areas, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fire detection and alarm systems, suppression systems and sprinkler design, structural fire resistance design, fire risk and hazard analysis, smoke management, occupant response and evacuation, and data analysis. As a certified project manager, Amir skillfully combines his technical acumen with his strong project management abilities, ensuring the successful delivery of every project.

Amir holds a Ph.D. in Fire Protection Engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, a Master of Applied Science in Structural Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Islamic Azad University - Central Tehran Branch. His active involvement in research and consulting projects have significantly contributed to the advancement of knowledge in fire safety engineering.
